We are prepping the walls for the new paint scheme. This means removing bookcases from the walls in the lobby area. Look what we found! Yes boys and girls, even the walls were orange at some point in time! This time we are going to do it better and get rid of those orange walls for good. The art conservators are here and are carefully removing the Moore paintings from the walls so the painters don't paint around the picture frames! Incidentally, in 1925 Frank Moore became the first Director of the Honolulu Art Museum. He oversaw its construction before resigning in 1927.
