The Pacific Island collection is coming along nicely. It is now located where the computer/printing area used to be. Printing will be scattered through the library when school starts again, and we will also have a few open student workstations for student use.

Our AC has been off and on repeatedly these last two weeks. Some rooms are hot, some have AC, and the main area is at 50% while the chillers are being serviced. We hadn't seen the IT staff for a while but when we went to retrieve some furniture from room 120, we found them! Apparently, room 120 is blasting cold air. So if you are looking for them, try 120! They are smushed in between chairs, printers, desks and lamps - but at least they are cool (in more than one way)!
Our contractors are working hard to get the lobby prepared to open next Monday, July 11th! We hardly recognize the place anymore. While we reshelve the Hawaii collection and wait on accent lighting and flooring in the lobby, the flooring crew is laying down carpeting in the new location for Pacific Islands materials and are starting to work on the carrel areas. Here is a video of the lobby to show off the work done to date and a few pictures for those who don't want to use up your data plans.
